About
Sara Mariza Vryonidi is Project Manager at Friends of the Earth Cyprus. She is currently involved in the LIFE FoodConnect project, which focuses on raising awareness around food waste and food donation in Cyprus, while also promoting solutions and policy changes in this field.
A central innovation of the project is the development of a food donation app and digital platform that connects food donors with recipient organisations, making food donation easier and more organised. Through Friends of the Earth Cyprus, she is also involved in coordinating Zero Waste Alliance Cyprus (zerowastecyprus.org), a movement of Cypriot organisations and small businesses advocating for waste prevention on the island.
